Everybody has its morning taste, somebody wake-up with a hand having a cup of coffee or some sip a tea. But sometimes a cup of hot coffee even can't help to save your day and you tend to get bored with it. Preparing coffee does not always mean you should pour coffee powder, water, milk and sugar. Below are 4 things which can surprise your taste buds.

You Can Add Some Spices

Just like masala chai you can add some spices to your coffee too. To get a festive flavour to your favourite morning sip you can add nutmeg, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom or even a flower like lavender. Not only will these enhance the flavour of your coffee but will also kick in the added benefits of antioxidants these spices contain.

Unsweetened Cocoa

If your coffee has a dense flavour of chocolate which coats your tongue, you tend to love it all the more. Rather than adding preservative loaded chocolate syrup to your coffee and increasing its calorie content, try something new by adding one tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa and see the difference. Cocoa is great for heart health and helps improve blood flow.

Extracts

If you like to take a simple coffee without any spices or cocoa, you can choose a coconut or vanilla extract to bring in a twist. It will now become lighter to your tongue but also give a high richness of coffee.

Take Some Salt

Like chai you can add some salt in your coffee, but not a tea- or tablespoon. For the new coffee lovers, the bitterness of this drink can really get to your otherwise neutral tongue. In order to cut this sharp flavour, you can add a dash of salt. Adding salt will help enrich the flavour of coffee.
