UIDAI is going to take a new step to increase the base's privacy through which they can further protect the information related to the base. The Aadhaar team is exploring the possibility of introducing dummy numbers, thereby creating another layer of security for Aadhaar Cardholder.

In this system, a person will be required to share dummy, fake numbers while withdrawing funds from one bank account to another under the government agencies, private utilities, banks and the base-based payment system. In addition to the cardholder, the information of the 12 digit base number will be only with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), who issues this number to you.

It is difficult to find the base number using the dummy numbers. According to reports, officials of UIDAI have discussed this but have not done anything so far. Dummy numbers and their frequency will depend on how the system is prepared. If a person uses separate dummy numbers for different dummy numbers, different dummy numbers for the power company and money transfer while transacting from the telephone company, then no one will be able to find out what his base number is. It will work largely like OTP. If the single number is not there, it will be very difficult to reach someone's personal data with the help of the base.

By 31 December 2017, these things need to be linked to the base  At this proposal, the UIADI has not given any statement. Considering the government's intention, banks, utilities, and credit card companies have instructed customers to provide the base details by December 31, 2017. They have warned that if this does not happen, the service will be stopped. After the Supreme Court's order on the basis of the rules, whether there will be any change in rules, it will be decided after the hearing starting from 28 November.
