Thailand, Jul 11 (NT): Prasad Kulkarni, the designing engineer of the Kirloskar Brothers Limited company of Sangli district, played a key role in saving the lives of 12 children and their coach in the cave in Thailand.

A coach, including 12 footballer children were trapped in Thailand cave, has been saved safely. On Tuesday after the long war, the time came when special rescue operation was completed. This incident drew the attention of the whole world and vows were made for the children from every side. Now, these children are kept under the care of doctors.

The football team and their coach were trapped in the cave from June 23. Due to the heavy rain that started at the same time, the way of coming out of the cave was closed and all the people were trapped in the cave. Teams from many countries were left to save them. The Thai government then asked the Indian government to send Kirloskar pumping machines. So that the water in the cave could be pulled out. 

There is a branch of Kirloskar Company in Bangkok, where these pumps are provided. To get them started smoothly, Prasad Kulkarni of Sangli district went to Thailand with his team where they started these pumps through generators in the middle forest.

At the same time, the Thai government has thanked Prasad Kulkarni and his team. The team is scheduled to return to India on Thursday or Friday. Earlier in 2011, when such a fierce flood had arrived in Thailand, then Kirloskar Brothers Limited located in Bangkok rescued the disaster victims by making incomparable help. Flood water was extracted through a very powerful Kirloskar pump.
