Keeping in view the safety of driver and passenger, an app-based company Uber, which provides public cab service, has made some updates to its app, in which the Uber Safe for share trip feature has been introduced for drivers. 

Passengers will be able to share details of their trip with their family members and friends, in which the person's travel, including the estimated time of arrival, can be shared with your friend or any relative. 

This feature was started in Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune and Lucknow. By the end of this month, this facility will be available throughout the country.

Uber's Indian central operations head Pradeep Bhagat said in a statement, "Whether you are a driver or a passenger, the commitment to recover the safety of all is unwavering. We will continue to invest in technology and innovation so that the journey is safe and dependable."

Uber India's engineering chief Apoorva Dalal said, "Being Innovative on the recovery means to lead by using new techniques to improve safety through new ways. In every step we use most of the technology, we are bringing better transparency. We believe this will have a positive impact on the development of trust and sympathy between riders and driver partners."
