Lava tubes formed due to activities related to the London Volcano have given the possibility of humans living on the moon and Mars. Scientists said that humans can get a safe haven from lunar tubes hidden on the moon and Mars and even these streets or cities can be accommodated.

Lava tubs have been found in many volcanic regions on Earth including North Queensland, Sisli and the Galapagos Islands in Hawaii, Iceland, Australia. The underground network of these tubes can be up to 65 kilometers. Pairs on the Moon and Mars were seen in the campaigns carried out in space, which provide evidence of lava tubes.

Padua University in Italy and researchers at Bologna University conducted a systematic comparative study of lava tubes on earth, moon, and Mars. Ricardo Pozzobon of Padova University said, "The comparison of Earth, Moon, and Mars shows that there is a big effect on the shape of gravitational lava tubes. It can be up to 30 meters on earth. In the atmosphere of less gravitational Mars, we see evidence of wide lava tubes up to 250 meters."

Pozzobon said that these tunnels on the moon could be spread over one kilometer or more and hundreds of kilometers in length. These results of research are important for the possibility of housing and human life on the moon, as well as for the possibility of people living on another planet on Mars. Lava tubes provide protection from cosmic rays and alien particles, which could potentially provide safe housing to humans in the future. Pozzobon said that lava tubes are adequately large enough to settle human habitations.
