Samsung's flagship smartphone Galaxy Note 8 won the 'Gadget of the Year' award in India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2017 on Thursday. The Galaxy Note 8 has a sophisticated form of 'Bixby' digital assistant and 'S Pen'. This phone was launched in India on September 12, at 67,900 rupees. Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Samsung India Mobile Business said, "With the Galaxy Note 8, we have strengthened our leadership in the category of premium smartphones in India and this award reflects our hard work."

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Features and Specifications

  • The screen size of this phone is 6.3 inches. It comes with 'S Pen', which can be used to communicate in a more personal way. 
  • There are two cameras in the previous part and both are 12-megapixel cameras, one with a wide-angle lens and another with a telephoto lens. It has an optical image stabilization (OIS) with a view to get clear photos and videos.
  • Galaxy Note 8's Live Focus feature can be used to control the depth of field by controlling the 'bogus' effect. Even after photographing, the effect can be applied.
  • It has a 3,300 mAh battery that is equipped with the capability of the most advanced WPC and PMA wireless charging, as well as it supports QC 2.0.
  • This device will give Apple's devices a strong competition in the premium segment.
  • Note 8 also has the mobile payment service Samsung Pay, based on Samsung's high-security platform Samsung Knox.
  • 3.3 GB RAM is available for use in its 6 GB RAM. This device is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Of its 64 GB memory, 53 GB is available for use.
