A horrific event has come into light from Hyderabad where a couple beheaded a child as a human sacrifice during the lunar eclipse. The couple had abducted the child from the street. The murdered child is identified as the child of a couple, who are both beggars and were sleeping when the three year old was kidnapped from a footpath in Bhoiguda.

The murderer couple has been identified as Rajasekhar and Srilatha. They took the child to Musi river’s bank and beheaded her. Then they disposed the body in the river and carried the head in a polythene bag.

“The couple reasoned that they did it for a “kshudra pooja”. Rajasekhar said that they did the pooja in their living room at 3:00 AM. After the ritual they kept the head in a corner of their terrace under the lunar eclipse moonlight. He carried on with his regular taxi driving the next morning to avoid any doubts,” a police official told the media.

Rajsekhar’s mother-in-law reported the murder when she saw the severed head next morning. He tried to play the blame game on his neighbours to divert police investigation. Though the police outsmarted him and investigated the murder through tracking the phone numbers of residents of the locality.  

The couple has been held.
