Transporters begin Nationwide Indefinite strike, Supply of commodity would be a huge problem

New Delhi: Transport union All-India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) calls for an indefinite strike which is started from Friday. The main reason behind the strike is high fuel prices and stopping at toll plazas. The transport bodies also warn that they will not resume operations until their demand is fulfilled by the government.

AIMTC also has announced the indefinite strike from April 20 for an indefinite period of time. During the strike, transporters will not deliver any commodity until the strike is over. Government and transport organization have discussed many issues of fuel price and toll plazas but no result is obtained which lead to this strike. Charan Singh Lohara ”Former president of AIMTC said that they had brought the several issues in the notice of government but it did not solve any single issue so far and failed to take the strong actions. The main demand of the Transport bodies is to bringing diesel under GST so that its price becomes cheaper.  

This strike will surely enhance the transportation problems and laymen can face the problems. It can also affect the trade and businessman can suffer a huge financial loss.
