Washington DC [USA], November 17 (NT): The White House on Thursday said that United States President Donald Trump considers the accusations of sexual misbehavior against former Alabama Chief Justice and US Senate candidate Roy Moore are 'very worrying and should be treated sincerely.

"The President considers that these accusations are very worrying and should be treated seriously, and he believes that the people of Alabama should decide on which their next senator should be," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told in response to a question during the press conference.

She also evoked the President's earlier statement in which he had said that if the accusations were true, then Moore should step sideways.

US House spokesman Paul Ryan had dubbed the sexual misbehavior accusations in opposition to Moore as "credible", calling on the latter to step sideways from the race.

"He must step aside. Number one, these allegations are credible. Number two, if he cares about the values that he claims to care about, then he should step aside," CNN had citrated Ryan, as talking.

Apart from Ryan, several other Republicans have raised voice against Moore and have asked him step down. Some even recommended to push out Moore from the Senate should he win the December 12 special election.

This came after some women came forward, saying Moore practiced relationships with them when they were youngsters.

On the other hand, Moore has utterly starved of the allegations levied against him.
