In a startling revelation it has been exposed that Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin twice this month, one with none of his staff present.

It turns out that a few hours after the leaders’ much ballyhooed one-on-one meeting at the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, on July 7, the two met again informally for about an hour — accompanied only by Putin’s translator.

It was not clear what was said during the meeting, which lasted for roughly an hour, said Ian Bremmer, the president of political risk consultancy Eurasia Group, who was first to report the encounter in a note to clients. Bremmer said Trump got up from his seat halfway through dinner and spent about an hour talking "privately and animatedly" with Putin, "joined only by Putin's own translator."

Trump and Putin first met at the G20 during a gathering of other leaders, which was shown in a video. They later held the bilateral meeting, which was attended briefly by a pool of reporters.

Donald Trump lashed out at reports of his undisclosed encounter with Vladimir Putin at the G20 earlier this month, describing them as "sick".
"The Fake News is becoming more and more dishonest! Even a dinner arranged for top 20 leaders in Germany is made to look sinister!" he tweeted later.
