Washington D.C. [United States], November 23 (NT): United States President Donald Trump has promised Argentina of all mutual aid in locating their missing submarine, the ARA San Juan, that disappeared last week off the country's Atlantic coast.

"I have long given the order to help Argentina with the Search and Rescue mission of their missing submarine. 45 people aboard and not much time left. May God be with them and the people of Argentina,"  President DonaldTrump tweeted.

Argentina's navy set off a huge search and rescue operation to get the missing submarine.

The diesel-powered 66-meter long Class TR 1700 San Juan was on a journey from the southernmost city of Ushuaia to the naval base of Mar del Plata when dropping a line to contact was gone astray.

The submarine was shipping 44 crew members.

The chance of running out of oxygen increases the longer the sub remains underneath the surface.

The governments of the U.S., U.K., and Chile have offered satellites and ships to give support to in the search operations. (NT)
