UP district supervision slapped Rs 45 lakh fine on Maggi

 Lucknow: In unmarked dilemma for Nestle India, its well-liked noodle brand Maggi, which struggled a veto across a number of states, has been unsuccessful to pass the nutrients lab test again.

As per reports, the district supervision of Shahjahanpur, UP, has imposed a fine on Nestle India and its distributors following its trendy noodles brand Maggi supposedly not able to pass the lab test.

Acted in response to the growth, the FMCG most important observed that “it’s a case of application of incorrect standards”.

The district management had slapped a fine of Rs 45 lakh on Nestle, Rs 15 lakh on its three distributors and Rs 11 lakh on its two sellers.

As per the district authority’s officials, it had composed the samples last year in November and sent them for a lab testing, which had recovered ash substance above the permitted limits of human consumption.

Questioning the lab results, Nestle India said it has not acknowledged the order yet and would lodge an appeal directly once it receives the order.

“As we have not acknowledged the orders passed by the adjudication officers, we have been clued-up that the samples are of the year 2015 and the concerns relate to ‘ash content’ in Noodles,” told Nestle India representative.

Winning legal battles, the well-liked noodles brand was again knocked on the door of the Indian market in November 2015.
