Kanpur: An old farmer of 51 year old ostensibly suicide by hanging from a tree as he was unable to marry off his daughter due to financial limits in Viposi village.
“Arjun Nishad committed suicide on April 29, means yesterday by hanging from a tree in his fields. His body was found this morning by his family members”, SP Surendra Tiwari said.
He said, “The farmer was reportedly under stress as he was unable to marry off his daughter due to financial problems,”
The body has been sent for post-mortem and a review into the incident is underway, he added.
