US President Donald Trump to hold Second summit with Kim Jong-un 'quite soon'

New York: United States President Donald Trump stated that White house is planning to hold another summit with North Korea's superemo Kim Jong-un. He said at the 73rd session of UN General Assembly that they will hold the summit "quite soon".

“It looks like we'll have a second summit quite soon," President Trump was quoted as saying by AFP. "As you know Kim Jong Un wrote a letter -- a beautiful letter -- asking for a second meeting and we will be doing that,” US president Trump told reporters during his meeting with South Korean President, Moon-Jae-In on sidelines of the annual UN General Assembly.

Worth mention here in June, US president Trump met Kim at a historic Singapore summit. As relations between the two nations are improving, the White House stated that the two leaders have been discussing plans for the second summit and have committed to move for the next steps.

President Trump also highly praised President Moon on conducting a successful third inter-Korean summit with North Korea superemo Kim and noted that there remained much work to be done to complete their mutual objectives of achieving the final means fully verified denuclearisation of North Korea.

Trump and Moon also talked about the importance of continuing and maintaining dynamic enforcement of the previous sanctions. This is to make sure that North Korea understands that denuclearisation is the only path to economic success and long-lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
