Monday: On this auspicious day of Swami Vivekananda, PM Narendra Modi speaking to the students in the gathering at Vigyan Bhawan at New Delhi said, "If we take single steps individually towards secularism then it will become 1.324 billion (2016) steps."

Modi also said that his address will spot the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago talk, “This year, we are marking the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address & Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya centenary celebrations to strengthen the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”

Swami Vivekananda said that only rites will not connect an individual to divinity. ‘Jan Seva is Prabhu Seva’. More than being in search of a Guru, Swami Vivekananda was in search of the accepted truth.

He said those who do not respect women need to take a lesson from Swami Vivekananda, “The affectionate words of Swami Vivekananda My Brothers & Sisters gave the world the message of Universal Brotherhood.”

Today is 9/11…this day became widely spoken about after 2001 terror attack but, there was another 9/11 of 1893 should be credited and remembered to become Global Guru in memory of Swami Vivekananda.
