Veteran actor Haranatha Rao passed away at age of 70

The famous Telugu playwriter, scriptwriter and the actor too MVS Haranatha Rao today in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. According to the reports of The Hindu, he was suffering from a cardiac arrest, Haranatha Rao was a proflic and progressive writer and he wrote about 150 dialogues for Telugu movies. His finest works like Pratighatana, Bharata Nari, Anna and Ammayi Kapuram, for which he won Nandi awards.

The actor not only wrote dialogues but also mark his best presence on the list of acting in about 20 movies. In his acting avatar, he won acclaim for his work in films like Rakshasudu and Swayamkrushi.The drama was the most abiding passion of his life. Rakta Bali was his first play while his last work Kanya Varasulkam spoke of an assertive woman in modern-day Andhra Pradesh. His other plays include Jagannatha Ratha Chakralu, Kshirasagara Mathanam, Anthem Kadidi Aarambham, Redlight Area, Mee Permit and Yakshaaganam. The late actor and scriptwriter MVS Haranatha Rao survived with wife and two sons and a daughter.

His Early life- 

The actor completed his studies in Guntur, he also always seems interested in theatre arts since his childhood. The actor started acting in stage dramas since his third standard. His father Rangacharyulu was a clerk. His mother Satyavati Devi has a diploma in Carnatic music. His father used to take him to mythological dramas. When his mother got transferred to Ongole, her native place, Haranatha Rao also went there and joined Sarma College. He is married to Koteswari who is a school teacher. They have three children Sahitya, Sri Sukta, Natya. All three of them are pursuing their Engineering.
