Vidya Balan always expresses her opinions on any issues by being upfront and straightforward. Recently, Vidya was in the city of Lucknow for an event. Vidya told there, "I would want to see Bollywood independent of sexism."

She added, "I am not saying that there is a lot of sexism in Bollywood. And it is not just there in Bollywood whatever is present in society, is present in Bollywood as well. It is important that we get rid of it."

Vidya also said that she doesn't want to work with her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur as, "It is important to keep certain things away from each other."

Recently, on becoming a part of the CBFC, she said, "I am very happy to join the CBFC and I hope to fulfil my responsibilities as a member to the best of my abilities. I look forward to this new and exciting phase where our cinema will be allowed to reflect the sensibilities, realities and complexities of the society we are living in today."
