Vijay R. Rupani is a big name in Indian politics who is serving as the chief minister of Gujrat. He had a keen interest in politics since his school days only. His has successfully covered his journey from being an ABVP activist to Rajya Sabha member, MLA, Cabinet minister to chief minister of Gujrat.
He was born on 2nd August 1986 in Rangoon, Burma to Ramniklal Rupani and Magaben. His father was a well-known social worker. He pursued his BA from Dharmendrasinhji Arts College and LLB from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat. He married to Anjali Rupani and couple his blessed with 2 sons and 1 Daughter.

He was an ABVP activist during his college days and later he joined RSS and then he joined Jan Sangh in 1971. In 1976, he protested against the emergency and was imprisoned during the emergency days.

He was elected as the mayor of Rajkot from 1996 to 1997 then he served as the chairman of Gujrat Tourism and he also served as the BJP’s Gujrat Unit General Secretary for times. He worked rigorously for BJP and finally he reached the top ranks of being Chief Minister of Gujrat.
