Villagers beat a Naxal to death in Jharkhand to stop levied demands

After all those violent lynching cases a killing case came in front of police in Jharkhand. In Bariatu village of Lathehar district villagers allegedly beat a Naxal to the death. Reportedly, the Naxal reached to a contractor who is engaged in toilet construction work to collect a levy of Rs. 15,000.

The villagers informed that the Naxal do it on regular basis for the development works that usually observed in the village. Firstly the threaten locals of villages to give the charge and then beat up the person who denied to give them the imposed charges.

Reports suggest that the incident was of Thursday night while the contractor named Birendra Singh was on duty. He elaborated the incident to ANI as “I denied them the levy when they called and threatened. They came to my house at midnight and started beating me. I ran to call for help, following which the villagers caught and beat up two of them.”

Reportedly, the died one was not alone. Of the five Naxals, three managed to elope from the villager’s hand and another one is highly injured and handed over to police.
