As per the reports of an official of Madame Tussauds, the right ear of Virat Kohli's statue was despoiled when fans crowded to the attraction to apparently take selfies, consequentially the statue being temporarily removed and sent for repairs.

Commonly known as ‘Run machine ‘the Ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli's wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in New Delhi on Wednesday. However, the luxurious unveiling turned into a flop of sorts after the statue was spoiled by fans throng the centre on Thursday for a glimpse of the creation.

"Kohli's statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain's statue," the official said to NDTV.

However, the official was speedy to clarify that Kohli's statue has been repaired and is ready for visitors to witness the show.

"Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified," the official said, speaking to NDTV.

Worth mention here On Wednesday, the Indian skipper joined a magnificent list of athletes who have been figured by Madame Tussauds, registering his name alongside David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Kapil Dev and Usain Bolt.

"I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support," Virat Kohli had said in a statement issued by Madame Tussauds.
