Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], November 9: Congress chief ministerial contender Virbhadra Singh on Thursday loud that he is confident about the party winning with full majority in the ongoing Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.

The longest-serving chief minister of the mountainous HP, Singh told: "We hope for the best. I am sure that the Congress party will attain full majority votes in the elections. The next government too will be in the Congress. I have a very long and thriving political career."

"The derogatory commented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi against the Opposition does not suit him, “Singh added.

 Virbhadra Singh has participated in Polls along with his son Vikramaditya from Shimla.

 Virbhadra Singh is fighting against Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Prem Kumar Dhumal, two-time Chief Minister of the state, while the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is challenging 42 seats, followed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), which is contesting 14, Swabhiman Party and Lok Gathbandhan Party six each, and the CPI challenging three seats.

A total of 50,25,941 voters are entitled to cast their votes and the polling will be carried out at 7,525 booths with EVMs and VVPAT.
