Sources said that Mehul Choksi had escaped from the country in a planned manner in the first week of January. According to the sources, after the absconding, he had taken an oath of integrity on January 15 without anticipation and went to Antigua.

In this case, the PMLA Court has issued a summons under fugitive diamond trader Neerav Modi and Mehul Choksi under the new fugitive economic offender law. Court has directed Neerav to appear on September 25 and Choksi on September 26 on the petition of ED.
