West Bengal: On Sunday, a man was allegedly shot dead by wife's lover in his own bedroom.Three more people were arrested in connection with the murder of a man, till the total number of arrests to five in the case, police said.

The deceased recognized as Chanchal Ghosh, a resident of Bardhaman district's Kanksa, was shot dead in his bedroom in the wee hours on Saturday by his wife Riya Ghosh and her lover Jhantu Mondal.

According to the information received from Kanksa police station, "After interrogating the two prime accused, we have arrested the mother, father and aunt of Jhantu Mondal on Sunday for allegedly being involved in the conspiracy."

Chanchal's family member in an investigation said that Mondal and Riya were allegedly involved in an extra-marital affair and conspired to kill Chanchal when he came to know about their relationship.

"They planned the murder. Riya invited her father-in-law to her house on the occasion of Durga Puja so that my brother has to stay alone in the house and then sent her lover to kill him," the sister of the deceased alleged.

"We want justice. There should be strict action against everyone involved in my brother's murder," she added.
