The app was first launched on Friday in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, UK and USA. Specifically, the app was first tested in India and Brazil before the public release. The WhatsApp Business app is specially designed keeping in mind the small businessmen. With this, companies will be able to connect with their customers and become part of the messaging platform.

Whatsapp has more than 1.3 billion users worldwide. Apart from the original Whatsapp app, business-centric apps can create profiles in their app and enter information such as business information, email or store address and website.

Along with that, it also provides smart messaging tools to give quick and fast answers to frequently asked questions. The app also offers the option of sending greeting messages to new customers and setting aside 'away' when companies are busy. In addition, it web supports the web, so that companies can send and receive messages directly from the desktop.

With the feature that enables corporate communication for small businesses, Whatsapp plans to mark some business as Confirmed Accounts in the coming time. According to a study conducted by Morning Consult, more than 80 percent of small business people in India and Brazil believe that due to WhatsApp, they are able to interact with customers and promote their business.

Talking about the similarities with the original Whatsapp, you also have the option of setting privacy for a profile photo, over information and status as well as making blocks and read receipts for contacts in the WhatsApp Business App. The app also has a live location feature, so companies can share the location with their customers and clients. Business voices and video calls can also be done. Its iOS version is expected to launch soon.
