Whatsapp's chief Business Officer Neeraj Arora quits

Indian-origin Chief Business Officer of Whatsapp Neeraj Arora has resigned from his post. Neeraj has said that he needs to spend quality time with his family. Arora was associated with Facebook since 2011 before the acquisition of Whatsapp. He used to work with Google before joining WhatsApp.

Arora made a facebook posts in which he said that “It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since Jan (Koum) and Brian (Acton) got me onboard at WhatsApp, and it has been one hell of a ride! It is time to move on, but I cannot be more proud of how WhatsApp continues to touch people in so many different ways every day,” IIT- Delhi alumnus said in a Facebook post Monday. "I am confident that WhatsApp will continue to be the simple, secure and trusted communication product for years to come, he wrote in the wake of controversies like misinformation and fake news that WhatsApp has been dealing with the in the past year."

Last week, WhatsApp had announced the appointment of Ezetap co-founder Abhijit Bose as the head of its Indian operations and will join the operations in early 2019.
