The Indian cinema and its numerous followers are regularly getting shocking news from the well-known contributors. After Irrfan Khan who is diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer and getting treated in London, Sonali Bendre’s post with the emotional words and unexpected news have shaken up all her fans to celebrities.

Notably, on Wednesday the actress informed about high-grade metastised cancer which attached her suddenly. The must have brought tears in her well-wishers' eyes.

 

Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them. There is no better way to tackle this, than to take swift and immediate action. And so, as advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I’ve received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful. I’m taking this battle head on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me.

The first question that must have come in everyone’s mind was: who will handle the projects on which she was working as now she is in New York for treatment? The ZEE TV show India’s Best Dramebaaz where she was judge and contributing since a long time was on track with her happy smile and tremendous work before this news. The actress has withdrawn from the show a few days back only. Sonali was enjoying the show and that excitement was visible in the image that she has posted four days ago only while judging Season 3 premieres.

Meanwhile, the Sonali is replaced by Huma Qureshi who was oblivious about former’s disease and expressed: “I have always wanted to take up an interesting show on TV, as the medium enjoys a wide reach. I am glad to be part of India's Best Dramebaaz, as who understands drama better than me?”. While adding that she would like to take some tips from Sonali for the show as she handles IBD well, she said: “A lot of Bollywood actors are on TV today. I am looking forward to judging on the show and having a direct connect with the audience. I will, in fact, take a few tips from Sonali, as she has judged two seasons of the show.”
