In Women’s Asia Cup Trophy where India faced Sri Lanka, Indian eves picked up their third win in the tournament as they defeated Lankan eves by 7 wickets in their fourth match.

India required bouncing back after receiving defeat to Bangladesh on Wednesday. It was an easy task to hit Sri Lanka as an inclusive bowling performance from the Indian team led by Harmanpreet Kaur bowled out their rivals for just 107.

A radiant bowling effort from India side has restricted Sri Lanka to a modest score of 107 for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. From Sri Lanka side Hasini Perera remained unbeaten on 46.

In Chasing of the total of 108, India lost outstanding batsman Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana. But Anuja Patil and Veda Krishnamurthy kept hopes alive and claimed an easy 7-wicket win.

In the tremendous performance Veda Krishnamurthy who scored 29 was unbeaten and Anuja Patil who scored 19  was also unbeaten  made India to an easy 7-wicket win over Sri Lanka .

Meanwhile, Mithali Raj brokeks another record as she has become first Indian women cricketer to cross 2000 runs in T20I internationals.

Mithali Raj was gone to pavilion for 23 runs and Nilakshi de Silva took the big wicket.
