New Delhi: On the occasion of World Biofuel Day PM Modi congratulated the nations and said will play the bridge between our environment and economic development.

In his address at Vigyan Bhavan PM Modi said 10% ethanol mix with petrol by 2022 and 20% by 2030 is what the Government is aiming to achieve; all agricultural waste and discard can be used for ethanol production thus reducing farm wastage.

PM Modi added that Record production of ethanol has happened in last 4 years; ethanol production has not just helped farmers but also saved Rs 4000 crore of forex for India in just 1 year.

Echoing same sentiments Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that when PM Narendra Modi took over only 38 crore liter ethanol was being procured which is going to be 150 crore liters soon.

 Worth mention here PM Modi led Government is working to make BioCNG from trash.CNG usage is being ramped up in public transport. Government is trying to reduce dependence on CNG import and soon it will have CNG vehicles in villages.

PM Modi further said that 12 modern refineries worth 10k crore are going to be established across India along with refinery operations to supply chain, which will provide employment to 1.5 lakh youth.
