Hepatitis is counted amongst the deadliest and the most fatal diseases prevailing in our society for a long time. It has taken several lives and the same continues even till date.

The World Hepatitis Day, observed on the 28th of July, intending to create awareness among people regarding the disease, its causes, symptoms, diagnosis and of course treatment.

Hepatitis is caused mainly by viruses. It is of five types, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis D, Hepatitis E. It majorly affects the liver and causes the breakdown of its tissues. Its symptoms include yellowing of the eyes. On the worse circumstances, it often leads to liver dysfunction and proves fatal.

It may be caused due to infectious, metabolic, ischemic, autoimmune, genetic and many other reasons.

Symptoms of Hepatitis often resemble Jaundice, hence in negligence, the disease grows to its worst effects. Therefore proper diagnosis is required.
