World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 Live: PM Modi says, we are trustees of Natural wealth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday formally inaugurated the World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan which was organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).The three-day global summit is being witnessed by participation from over 41 countries, bringing together different stakeholders in the fields of sustainable development, energy and environment sectors.

In The summit  Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minster for Industries and Commerce, Suresh Prabhu, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri HardeepPuri, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Shri Jayant Sinha and other political dignitaries  marked their gracious presence.

PM Modi recalls Indian history and said, “We are proud of our long history and tradition of harmonious existence between man and nature. Respect for nature is an integral part of our value system”, PM Modi  said at Vigyan Bhawan .

 Expressing the significance of Natural wealth PM Modi said, “We believe that all resources and wealth belongs to nature and the almighty and we are just the trustees or managers of this wealth, says PM Modi adding that Mahatma Gandhi too advocated this trusteeship philosophy,” Modi urged.
