At the beginning of the episode, we see Naira in a happy mood post her birthday surprise. Devyaani and Rajshri talk about Dadi and Manish being annoyed with the party. Bau Ji chips in to say that maybe they didn't like the fact that Kartik invited the kids from the ashram. Devyaani says Dadi will blame Naira for this.

Naira thanks Kartik and asks him if there is any other gift. He tells her that there are many gifts and one of them is a really good one. They share a romantic moment after that. Next morning, Kartik showers flowers on Naira. She gets Naitik's call and asks him if he knows what Kartik is planning. Kartik asks him not to tell her about the party. The call is interrupted by the kids who run to them.The Pandit enters the scene and says that he will have to do a shuddikaran and he asks Kartik to keep the ashram kids away otherwise the puja will get spoiled. Dadi asks Kartik about Naira and stops Pungi from coming near the puja items. She apologizes and goes. Dadi asks them to take care of the gold coins and to this Surekha says that they are poor people. Suwarna asks her not to say this in front of Kartik and Naira as they will get annoyed.

Kartik tells them that he made the kids have their breakfast as he didn't feel right to keep kids hungry and also, that he didn't get a chance to do anything for Naira. Surekha retorts by saying that he has never seen Naira do anything for him. She also tells him that they are doing havan for her.

Dadi welcomes the Singhanias as they join them. When Kartik goes to call Naira he sees her in mumma's jewelry which she says she had donned to gain her blessings. Naira comes down and greets everyone. Dadi asks Naira if she should send the kids outside to play. Naira tells her that they will happily attend the havan. Dadi replies by saying that the havan is meant for the family and that the ashram kids have no place in it. Naira says that going by that equation she too should not be allowed to attend it as she had stayed in the ashram for a long time. Dadi tells her that she might have stayed with them but she is Singhania's daughter and now she is Goenkas bahu and therefore she has earned the right to sit in the puja. Naira says that everyone should be treated equally.
