Yogi Adityanath chides opposition following chaos in UP Assembly

In the Uttar Pradesh state assembly on Thursday, the Governor’s address was interrupted due to the chaos created by the opposition led by Samajwadi Party. The Governor, Ram Naik had arrived at the state assembly to address the MLAs prior to the Uttar Pradesh’s budget session. However, instead of maintaining the code of conduct and decorum of the house in front of the Honourable Governor, some members of the Samajwadi Party behaved in an immature way and threw paper balls, hurled abuses at the Governor. While this happened, the senior members of the Samajwadi Party quietly watched the chaos created by their fellow party members.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was pissed off with such behaviour and expressed his disappointment with the leaders of the Samajwadi Party while talking to the press after the session. He said, “The Governor’s arrival is an accomplishment of any legislature, but the way the leaders of the opposition have behaved is rude, unethical , unparliamentary, and vulgar, and is condemnable.”  Further he termed the opposition’s behaviour as an attempt to suppress the voices of the backward sections of the society and an attack on the democracy.
