Entertaining media is a great source of earning. Every year when YouTube releases its member’s earning, it leaves everyone in shock. However, YouTube also gets criticized for the less pay and giving only crumbs to the creators. Now, YouTube is giving a new opportunity to the members that will pay to their hard work.

The company announced that now creator will be able to sell their merchandises directly through their own channels. YouTube is also sharing a part of the revenue that the company earned from advertising with content creators who emerged as the biggest criticizers for the social medium.

For viewers, it would be a high time as now they will pay $4.99 a month for channel memberships that will allow them to go through exclusive contents on channels having more than 100,000 subscribers. The exclusive content will include live streams, extra videos or shout-outs on channels.

While announcing the amendments YouTube's chief products officer, Neal Mohan said that advertising is a major source of its earnings and will remain the focus. Contrarily he added that “But we also want to think beyond ads. Creators should have as many ways and opportunities to make money as possible”.

The channel is a Google-owned service and has more than 1.9 Billion users.
