Mangaluru: Mohammad Afiq, a 12-year-old child, died due to the online game PUBG in the Ullal police station area of ​​Mangaluru in Karnataka. According to police, he died after a fight with another local boy, Deepak (17–18 years). The two met about three months ago at a mobile shop and started playing PUBG with each other.

Police officer Shashi Kumar has told that around 9 pm on Saturday night, Deepak and Akeef met and decided to sit down and play the game. Deepak comes to kmow that someone else plays a better game in the name of Afiq. While playing together, Akeef lost PUBG and Deepak started teasing him by calling him a cheater. On this, Afiq threw a stone at the lamp and when Deepak retaliated, Afiq's head started bleeding and he died. Deepak had accused Afiq of cheating.

Shashi Kumar said that information about the entire case came to light when Afiq suddenly went missing last evening. After which the family lodged a report of the missing child in the police. The body of the child was recovered from KC Road, 3 km from his house. It is also being said that the child was addicted to the PUBG game. The police are trying to gather evidence by visiting the scene.
