New Delhi: The first all-electric motorcycle from locally based EV startup DEVOT Motors was unveiled at the Greater Noida Auto Expo 2023.

The EV is a prototype that has been prepared for production. The soon-to-be-released motorcycle has been endurance tested to make it suitable for our roads and climate, and features a neo-retro design philosophy. A powerful 9.5kW electric motor powers the all-electric two-wheeler.

At Auto Expo 2020, Rajasthan based electric vehicle start-up DEVOT Motors made its debut in the Indian EV market. Since then, the business has opened a development center in Jodhpur and a research and development center in the UK. At the Auto Expo 2023, the brand unveiled its first electric bike till date. It is expected to hit our roads soon.

The upcoming DEVOT motorcycle will feature a sculpted fuel tank-like structure, a round housing for an LED headlamp, a wide handlebar, angular mirrors, a fiber cover for the motor and battery pack, a flat type single-piece seat, a tubular grab Is. rails, a rear tire hugger, and a sleek LED taillamp. It has a neo-retro design aesthetic. It gets designer wheels and a digital instrument cluster.

A 9.5kW centrally-mounted electric motor and a sizable battery pack power the DEVOT electric motorcycle. The system can provide a range of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge. The EV can go up to 120 km/h.

The DEVOT motorcycle features disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with a combined braking system (CBS) and regenerative braking for the safety of the rider.

Telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear are responsible for the suspension of this neo-retro electric motorcycle.

At the time of launch, DEVOT Motors will announce the specifications related to the price and availability of the electric motorcycle.

The item on display is a prototype that has been prepared for production. The brand is looking to achieve 70% to 90% localization for the e-bikes.
