India’s leading online transportation network company, Ola, which is known for its safe and secure rides, allegedly got into controversies when a 26 years old Bengaluru was reportedly molested in a locked Ola cab.
According to the reports, a Bengaluru girl, professionally an architect, was travelling to Kempegowda International Airport on June 1, since she had to fly to Mumbai.
On her way to the Airport, the cab driver, V. Arun, locked the car and asked her to strip.
He then got to her and started forcing her to take off her clothes and tried to take pictures of her.
She tried to resist and told the driver, she would die, rather than letting any of such things happen to her. The driver then lost his head and forced her to follow his orders. She somehow gained courage and told the driver that she was ready to die. Her statement disturbed the driver and he let her go.
On Wednesday, the architect was brought back from Mumbai to Bangalore, to identify the molester.
From amongst a group of drivers, the girl identified the culprit, according to the police reports.
She has now been approached to get her statement recorded and is determined enough to get the molester punished.
