A 50 y/o woman hit by the car and dragged up to 50 meters by a fashion designer in Connaught Place

A woman died after being hit by an SUV on Sunday night at Connaught Place in the national capital, Delhi. The woman was hit by the jeep and was dragged up to 50 meters, but the young woman driving the SUV had no idea about this. People tried to stop the SUV too. Later, the police stopped the SUV by putting barricades. The police arrested Shreya Agrawal (20), who was driving the jeep. 

Originally from Bareilly (UP), Shreya is doing a course in Fashion Designing in Mumbai. At the moment, the police have granted bail to Shreya. She had come to Delhi to meet her friends. It is being told that Shreya's father is UP's big transporter. The identity of the deceased woman is being told as Foolwati (50). She used to stay at the Ran Basara near Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. 

According to the police, the constable Rajesh and Sipahi Rajesh, stationed in Connaught Place police station, were checking for vehicles coming from the outer circle on Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg on Sunday night. At around nine o'clock in the night, the policemen saw that a black SUV is coming from the wrong direction from the Shivaji Stadium, the people behind it were trying to stop the Jeep.

 

Police personnel immediately stopped SUV after putting barricades. SUV was driven by a girl and two other girls were sitting in it. People told the police that a woman was trapped in the jeep's last wheel. The police rushed the injured woman to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where doctors declared her dead. The woman was identified as Phoolavati. The police arrested Shreya Agarwal, who was driving the jeep. She is recently out on a bail.
