Lucknow: The pictures of the exodus of workers during the lockdown have shaken the entire country. It also includes 8-month-old pregnant labour who set out on foot from Noida to go to her village Jalaun with her husband. During this time she had to face terrible pain. She wept as soon as she reached the village. She said that she has come 200 km on foot.

The woman and her husband have been working on a construction site for the past 5 years in Noida. Eight months pregnant Anju Devi (25) walked two days and two nights to travel to the village. Upon reaching Rath, Anju's husband Ashok (28) went to the Community Health Center and got her examined. The doctors underwent thermal screening and called the couple healthy. However, he will keep himself in isolation for 14 days as a precautionary measure.

Ashok is a landless farmer and lives on the construction site in Noida by working as a labourer. He somehow travelled 200 km on foot with his wife to reach Orai. There he found a vehicle in which he reached Rath. Anju's in-laws breathed peace upon reaching the couple's house.
