Gariaband: Five persons lost their lives and 17 others were injured in a major accident in Chhattisgarh late on Tuesday night. The police, who arrived after receiving the tahrir, sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem. At the same time, the injured persons have been sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. The accident took place at Mainpur, a few km from Gariaband. According to Gariaband SDM Vishwadeep Yadav, the accident took place on the national highway in Mainpur. Here a truck-tractor collided. In this, 5 persons in the tractor trolley were killed and 17 people were seriously injured. Police, who arrived at the spot, are investigating the case.

The same Bhupesh Baghel has expressed grief over the matter, he has announced an assistance of 2-2 lakh rupees to the families of the deceased and 50-50 thousand for the treatment of the injured. Earlier on March 1, a bus full of baraatis overturned uncontrollably near village Lalmati on the Ambikapur-Sitapur National Highway. Two persons, including a child, were killed. 30 persons injured in the accident were admitted to ambikapur hospital.

At the same time, Sarguja Additional Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla had said that the baraat had come from village Sikilma in Batauli area to village Badadamali. From here, all the baraatis were returning to their village Sikilma at around 11 pm. The driver suddenly lost control on the under-construction road near Village Lalmati and the speeding bus overturned on the beach road. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. As soon as the news was received, police and health department teams also reached the spot. But by then, two persons, including a child, had lost their lives in the accident.
