London: There is extremely bad news for South Africa ahead of the match against India. The team's veteran bowler Dale Steyn has been injured and has been out of the World Cup 2019. With a shoulder injury, Steyn had not been able to play in both South Africa's previous matches in this World Cup. Now, in lieu of Steyn, Burun Hendrix has been included in the World Cup squad. Hendrix is a left arm bowler.

As per the information received from sources, about two years ago, Dale Steyn had a shoulder-pain in the series against Australia. He was then playing much less cricket for nearly two years. Even in IPL 2019, Steyn was not able to play much. After the defeat against Bangladesh, Steyn had definitely done some practice of bowling from the small runup, but could not recover from the injury now. In 2016, Dale also underwent his shoulder surgery.
