These days the crimes against women are increasing day by day. In a yet another shocking incident reported from Kerala's capital city on a 17-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her male friend. As per the information, The victim was asked to come out of her house around 1:30 AM, and was attacked with a knife.

As per the information, The accused was reportedly arrested by the police, hours after the gruesome murder. The victim has been identified as Sangeetha a native of Varkala's Vadasserikonam. She was asked to come out of her house by the accused identified as Gopu of the Pallickal area of the district.

The accused reportedly told Sangeetha that he was waiting outside her residence to have a conversation. The duo were in a relationship, and Gopu doubted Sangeetha's loyalty. He believed she was getting close to another person and visited her house to discuss the matter in the early hours of Wednesday. When the girl arrived, a fight broke out between them, and Gopu attacked her with the weapon in his possession.

When the victim's family and neighbors were awakened by her screams, Gopu had fled the spot after slitting her throat. The locals found her in a pool of blood and shifted her to a hospital. The victim’s life couldn't be saved. The police identified the attacker after Gopu left behind the murder weapon and his mobile phone at the crime scene. Sangeetha's neighbors also notified police that they saw a youth fleeing when they arrived at the spot. As of now further investigation was going into the matter.
