A boy missing, Father accused online game PUBG of 'brainwashing'

Ghaziabad: A 15-year-old boy had been missing since March 11 after he left home in the evening. The boy's father accused the multiplayer online game PUBG of 'brainwashing' his child into leaving home. The game had been making national headlines from past few months following which multiple complaints were also filed. Several people have been demanding a ban on the game due to active addiction amongst all age groups.  According to Source report, the Class 10 student was identified as Abhinav and he was carrying Rs 10,000-15,000 while leaving home. Abhinav's father Rajesh Kumar Jayant, who is a teacher at a government-run school in Delhi lodged an official complaint of kidnap at the Sihani Gate Police station on March 11.

Here it is to be noted that in the official complaint, Kumar mentioned that Abhinav left home around 5 pm to go to the local market but he did not return. The family looking for him in the area and local places he often visited but they couldn't find him. Later his scooty was found abandoned near the New Bus Stand. The Superintendent of police Shlok Kumar told that the preliminary investigation revealed that the boy was chatting to someone on PUBG came and his last messages said that he would continue to play using a different name. However, further investigation in the case is underway.

Kumar told that two years ago his son had left home to meet MS Dhoni after watching his movie. But, he returned home after one day. Reportedly, Kumar alleged that the police are not helping to locate his son and they have been claiming that their son home earlier and returned.  The report also mentioned that the minor is carrying his mother's phone but it has been switched off.
