Patna: A strange incident came to light in West Champaran district of Bihar when the bride sitting in front of the hall suddenly escaped from the pavilion itself. Actually, it happened that on seeing her face to face with the groom, the bewildered bride refused to get married first and when the family increased the pressure on her, she left the pavilion and ran away.

This case is on Wednesday in Sunkahia Mai place of Nautan block area of the district. The villagers have given information that the bride from a village in Bairia and Disha from Musashi Tola of Baaghi, Bairia, reached Sunkahia Mai place for marriage. Ritual customs were introduced for the marriage of both. But after some time, when the bridegroom reached the pavilion for marriage, on seeing her face, she refused to marry the bride.

The bride said that the bridegroom does not like him. On this, the family started putting pressure on him. Then the bride said that the groom is older. She was shown a photo on Whatsapp. After this fuss, the bride ran away from the ceremony. Till evening, the boy waited for the bride, after which the procession returned without the bride. People say that both sides said and listened to this matter and there was a scuffle.
