Minneapolis: A protest in Denver on Thursday night over the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis police custody took a violent form when a car driver intentionally entered a crowd of protesters with his car at a high speed. However, the person did not get hurt much.
In the video of the incident posted on social media, a black SUV can be seen buzzing the horn repeatedly among the crowd of protesters. The car driver hit a man with the car, but the man jumps away, then the driver turns back at the man, causing the man's leg to appear stuck in the wheel. And he falls to the ground, after which the driver takes the car and runs away in another direction.
Annabel, an eyewitness of the incident and a Twitter user, said that "we wanted a peaceful protest. Everyone had walked away from the car, but the car deliberately targeted one person." Earlier in the evening, the lockdown was carried out after the firing incident occurred in the State Capital. Although no one was explicitly reported to have been injured in the shootout, the protesters had informed the police about the firing on the road.
