Hyderabad: Tirupati's Tirumala Temple is always in the spotlight for a large number of offerings. Two new 'Katie-Vardha' handiwork (hand-wearing jewellery) has been offered on Saturday to Lord Venkateshwara. A textile trader has decided to offer them on completion of their vows. The Tirupati Balaji Temple is very much recognized and a large number of people visit the temple every year.

It may be mentioned that Kati-Vardha Handam is gold ornaments worn in the hands of God. In particular, they are priced at around Rs 2.25 crore. In Tamil Nadu, textile trader Thanga Durai of Theni district has decided to donate gold jewellery weighing 6 kg to the temple. They have decided to offer jewellery on completion of one of their vows.

Talking to the press, Thanga Durai said, "I have been visiting this sacred shrine of Lord Venkateshwara since my childhood. A few years ago, I fell ill and went to death. There was little hope of my survival, but when I prayed to Lord Venkateshwara and made a vow to offer many offerings, I found a new life. '
