Varanasi: At a time when Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is campaigning in Varanasi, a college student was allegedly heckled by supposed Congress workers for wearing 'NaMo Again' t-shirt. The video, accessed shows a girl from a local college wearing a blue NaMo Again t-shirt, being surrounded by Congress workers who shout the slogan 'chowkidaar chor hain'. Shockingly, the police are seen saying that they would be arresting the girl.

In the video, the girl is seen repeatedly claiming that she is not a BJP worker, but a Modi supporter. She was walking near Assi Ghat, where newly elected Congress general secretary from eastern Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is campaigning. The Congress leader is on a three-day boat journey along the Ganga river, wherein she is meeting people living along the ghats ahead of the Lok Sabha poll 2019.

Earlier today, the Congress leader attacked PM Narendra Modi over his recent blog post saying, "The prime minister has attacked every institution in this country for the last five years, including the institution of which all of you are a part... So I think the PM should stop thinking that people are fools and understand that they see through all this... Even if anything is done, and we are harassed, we will not feel afraid. We will continue our fight against them. The more we are harassed, the stronger will be our fight," she was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

The Congress leader's visit to Varanasi is significant given that it is the constituency of PM Narendra Modi. She has paid visits to four temples since March 18, when she kicked off her river journey from Prayagraj. She visited the famous Hanuman Mandir in Prayagraj followed by Sita Samahit Sthal, Vindhyavasini temple in Vindhyachal and later offered a chadar at Kantit Sharif dargah.

Earlier today, PM Narendra Modi, in a blog post, attacked the Congress party saying that it was a brand of 'dynastic politics'. In the summer of 2014, the people voted decisively for honesty over dynasty. Development over decay. Security over stagnation. Opportunities over obstacles. Vikas over vote-bank politics,” he said in a post on Wednesday morning.
