Not a single case of coronavirus has been reported in the Andaman-Nicobar Islands in the last two days. The health ministry official gave this information on Tuesday.
The officials said that the total number of infected in the Union Territory is 5,009 whereas 4,938 patients have become healthy so far. The official said that 62 patients have died so far from the infection. Nine patients are currently undergoing treatment in the union territory and all the patients are from the South Andaman district.
As a result, two other districts of North and Middle Andaman and Nicobar are now free from coronavirus infection. Not a single patient is undergoing treatment here. The official said that till Monday, 4,407 health workers and personnel deployed on the front have been vaccinated by covid-19. At least 182 health workers have been given the second dose of the covid-19 vaccine.
