Imphal: Two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel were injured when an IED blast came under the grip of an IED blast in Manipur on Sunday. Let us tell you that under the assembly elections in Manipur, voting is to be held in two phases on February 28 and March 5. The results will be declared on March 10 after counting of votes. The incident took place at around 8 pm in Wangu Tera area of ​​Kakching district, about 45 km from state capital Imphal, officials said. He told that constables Gaurav Rai and Girija Shankar were injured in this blast.

Officials said that a team of ITBP along with a jawan of the state police was patrolling in the area during which the blast took place. These jawans are part of the ITBP battalion deployed for election duty in the state. The condition of the injured jawans admitted to the Civil Hospital in Kakching is said to be out of danger. The injured constables Gaurav Rai and Girija Shankar were on patrol with the state police when the incident took place, officials said.
