A German Embassy worker dead body found in a drain in Dwarka

Delhi: On Friday, The dead body of a data operator who used to work with the German Embassy was found in Dwarka. According to the police, the deceased had gone missing a fortnight ago and his body was found in a drain in Dwarka. The deceased has been identified as Prem Pal who is a resident of Sector 3, Dwarka. The dead body of Pal was found in a drain in Sector 5 when a passerby saw the body and informed the police about the same.

While talking to the Hindustan Times, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anto Alphonse stated that the dead body was pulled out of the drain by a police team and was then sent to a mortuary. During primary investigation, it was discovered that the police had filed a missing complaint for the deceased at Chanakyapuri police station on January 29.

According to the family members, the deceased had left the house to go to the German Embassy which is situated in Chanakyapuri but did not return. The family also added that the phone of the deceased was switched off. The body of the deceased bore no injury marks and he might have committed suicide.

Though no suicide note was recovered, some family members stated that the deceased had developed suicidal tendencies. An inquiry will be conducted under 174 CRrPc. The police are also checking the call records of the deceased to trace any other angles possible. The family members and colleagues of the deceased will also be probed to confirm if he had turned suicidal.
