Bhopal: The havoc of corona is increasing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, there has been news from Sagar which is heartwarming. In fact, at the funeral of a 60-year-old Hindu man, when none of his neighbors and relatives came here for allegedly fearing ing the coronavirus, some members of the Muslim community helped his family. The incident is said to be from Rampura ward of Sagar city. His last rites were performed last Saturday after the death of its resident Ullas Belapurkar.

The man is said to have undergone a corona test but the report has not been received so far. Talking to a media person, Madhur Belapurkar, the son of the deceased, said, "My father was posted at Indira Gandhi Engineering College. He had mild pneumonia. I had taken them to the doctor for treatment and also got the corona checked. But he passed away on Saturday morning before the report came out".

He further said, "There was a crisis for me and my mother and wife to perform father's last rites when none of my neighbors and relatives came forward to attend the funeral for fear of corona. The Muslim community helped in the crisis at the time of the funeral". On the other hand, Irshad Khan, chairman of the Cemetery Committee of the Muslim Community, said, "When I came to know about this incident, my (Muslim) colleagues and I put on PPE kits and transported the body from Hindu customs to the land of liberation".
